The Clerk-Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the Town. Our new CFO was elected in November 2023. With his background in entrepreneurship and commitment to community service, he has actively contributed to local organizations. He proudly served as the President of the IMPower Center in South Bend, IN to improve financial literacy rates for families and grow small businesses with strategy, legal & accounting assistance.
The financial records of the town are open to the public for internal review. Please call to make an appointment for your specific request, or you may request copies of any open public records at a small fee of $.10 per page.
Your local government is required to provide the citizens with any and all information requested, although some redactions may be necessary, unless specifically forbidden by state or federal law.
Much of the state, county, and local government financial data is available online to taxpayers through the "Gateway". This includes Budget Notices, Assessed Value, Tax Bill Estimates, and more at https://gateway.ifionline.org/
Public records are just that - they belong to the public! Your Freedom of Information requests (FOIA) will be provided as soon as possible (some documents may require extra time for redaction) for a fee of $.10 per page. Or you can come in and review - free of charge!
