The Clerk-Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the Town. Robin Ackerson served as Town Council Member from 2008 - 2011, and was selected to serve as Clerk-Treasurer upon the resignation of the previous Clerk-Treasurer. She was reelected in 2015 and again in 2019, totaling 11 years in the position.
The financial records of the town are open to the public for internal review. Please call to make an appointment for your specific request, or you may request copies of any open public records at a small fee of $.10 per page.
Your local government is required to provide the citizens with any and all information requested, although some redactions may be necessary, unless specifically forbidden by state or federal law.
Much of the state, county, and local government financial data is available online to taxpayers through the "Gateway". This includes Budget Notices, Assessed Value, Tax Bill Estimates, and more at https://gateway.ifionline.org/
Public records are just that - they belong to the public! Your Freedom of Information requests (FOIA) will be provided as soon as possible (some documents may require extra time for redaction) for a fee of $.10 per page. Or you can come in and review - free of charge!

The Town has received funds to apply toward providing clean drinking water and sanitary sewer for our residents. We are in the planning stage of developing this new infrastructure, but it won't be long before you no longer have to worry about your well and/or septic tank.
